About This Statement

This Leadership Commitment Statement is a required component of the AI Aware Certification. By completing and signing this document, organizational leadership affirms that they are aware of AI tools in active use within their organization, are committed to responsible and ethical AI use, and intend to maintain their AI Aware Certification through ongoing participation.

Leadership Declaration

1. AI Awareness: I am aware that AI-powered tools are being used within our organization, whether formally adopted or used independently by staff.

2. Responsible Use Commitment: I commit to ensuring that our organization uses AI tools responsibly — protecting customer and employee data, avoiding harmful or deceptive applications, and acting in alignment with our values.

3. Employee Guidance: I understand that employees benefit from clear guidance on appropriate AI use, and I commit to supporting the development and communication of AI use guidelines within our organization.

4. Ongoing Awareness: I commit to staying reasonably informed about how AI tools are being used in our organization and to revisiting this commitment as our AI use evolves.

5. Certification Maintenance: I intend to maintain our AI Aware Certification by completing required renewal steps and keeping our AI inventory and policies up to date.
